Fast Low-Step Running
All you need for this simple exercise is a set of steps and a few quick minutes while the kids are occupied. Start by finding a low step and sanding in front of it, feet shoulder-width apart.
Next, simply take a step up and back down, alternating between the left and right leg. Do this as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat.
You don’t need a regulation-sized basketball court to complete this fast exercise move. Similar to jumping jacks, the basketball jump involves moving side to side for a more effective workout. Begin by taking a long, low step to your right, bending through your legs and stepping your left foot in.
Next, spring up from both feet and reach your arms up to the sky, as if you were going to shoot a basketball. Repeat on your other side, alternating each side every 30 seconds.
